You always wanted to know what the many former Eels members are up to in these days?
Well, check out the information below and feel free to contact me if you know more about
the current situation of those musicians.

After Tommy Walter left the Eels in 1997 he played in bands like Tely, Metromax and Glacier
Hiking. In 2001 the debut album of his own band, the Abandoned Pools, came out.
Coincidently, this is also a one-man-band with changing members. Last year, the latest
album Armed to the Teeth hit the record stores. When asked about his Eels past he
says:
"[..] because that was written sort of in the wake of when I was in The Eels.
It wasn't a terribly happy situation, so I was like, well screw it, I'm just gonna go off
and do my own thing. And then it's sort of like, well, you know: "I'm gonna go start my
own thing. Uh, I have to learn to sing and write songs now." [Laughs] It's kinda funny:
"Screw you guys! I'm gonna go get a deal!" And then like, "Uh oh."[..]
"And I'm really glad we're past that whole ironic phase, which I was part of with The Eels,
where everything was super ironic and we'd play "The Macarena" on stage - [sarcastically]
and that was funny! I'm glad we're through all that stuff[...]"

crude, frenetic, beautifully strange yet inviting rhythms...make you drink beer and dance
