In the Netherlands the record holds position at #10 on the second week and in the UK it also holds position at #18 on the second week. This is pretty impressive for such a small band like our beloved Eels. Congrats, guys!

“Eels were told by the venue that their big beards are a health and safety risk [...]]]> While the awesome Eels tour will continue in Manchester tonight, a crazy news report by THE SUN says that the Eels were forced to insure their beards because they were considered a fire risk at the London gig last Wednesday.

“Eels were told by the venue that their big beards are a health and safety risk – and they had to take out a separate policy just for the night. The venue regarded their facial furniture as a potential fire risk.”

Remember, this is “The Sun”. It could all be bollocks, of course.

  • E was on the the Culture Show. Watch the video HERE (UK only). It does contain a performance of “Spectacular Girl” mixed in with the interview. (It’s at 52 minutes in until the end.)

“The Lyrics for the Tomorrow Morning album are copyrighted and can’t be reproduced [...]]]> We are such horrible people. Once again we went against the copyright regulations of the Eels management. What have we done? We posted the lyrics of the current album Tomorrow Morning, which are to be found…oh…EVERYWHERE. Here’s the offical statement from the band:

“The Lyrics for the Tomorrow Morning album are copyrighted and can’t be reproduced anywhere without permission.

If people want the lyrics for the album, they can buy a CD or download the album with the digital booklet from iTunes.”

Thank god we don’t have to go to jail – the management puts mercy before justice…..
