In order to give insight into all the different places on the internet where you can enjoy the world of Eels we’ve written an article about the current situation of the online fan-community. It informs about all these wonderful fansites on the web and gives explanation to several peculiarities. Check it out right HERE. It’s been a tradition for several years that with every album the Eels release there’s the crushing album review by Pitchfork. It’s almost absurd how low all the Eels albums are rated by this website, which thrives on controversy, apparently. Still, it’s always fun to read their ridiculous verdict on an Eels record. You’ll find it in our substantial “End Times” REVIEW SECTION. More importantly, you might wanna check out the latest blog entry by our friend Mike on his THE ROCK HARD TIMES fan blog. He’s done a complete and very enjoyable overview of the Eels’ catalog. This might be especially interesting to all of you folks who are just finding out about E and his wonderful music. Watch the new Eels video for the song “End Times” HERE or below. This bizarre yet entertaining video features comic versions of E, Bobby Jr, Knuckles and Koool G Murder. Today is the official worldwide release date of the 8th Eels album END TIMES. What do you think of it? To play along your favourite “End Times” songs we have uploaded the TABS for you folks. We are loving the latest record by the Eels and we are sure it must be fun for you guys to perform those tracks on the guitar. Thanks for this great contribution to our friend El Turbo from the international message board ESTRANGED FRIENDS. Moreover, we’ve added the “End Times” review by THE TIMES (UK) to our REVIEWS SECTION. We’ve added several excellent reviews of the upcoming End Times, including ones from “The Guardian”, “The Independent” and “Drowned in Sound”, in our REVIEWS SECTION.
On the band’s MYSPACE site one can now stream the entire upcoming Eels album “End Times”. The record will be released next week, although it is already available on Vinyl and CD in several places. While all the information about the album can be found in our END TIMES SECTION, all of RockingEels.com’s friends meet up HERE. The Swiss website HITPARADE.ch posted the cover of the promotional single “A Line in the Dirt”. We think it looks absolutely fabulous.
